Dr. Locher is a fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians, and he has served as the Director of Pulmonary Medicine, Chief of Medicine, and the Chief of Medical Staff.
Dr. Locher has enjoyed the practice of medicine in a variety of settings. His Doctor of Medicine is from the University of Cincinnati. He completed his internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his residency at the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Locher subsequently served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged with the rank of Major in 1995. He completed his fellowship in diseases of the chest in 1997 at the University of Vermont. He became board-certified in Internal Medicine in 1991 and was re-certified in 2001. He became board certified in Pulmonary Disease in 1998 and was re-certified in 2001 and again in 2011. He also gained Board Certification in Sleep Medicine in 2009.
Dr. Locher is a fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians, and he has served as the Director of Pulmonary Medicine, Chief of Medicine, and the Chief of Medical Staff at Northwest Medical Center. He is currently the Medical Director of the Sleep Center at Oro Valley Hospital, as well as Section Head of Pulmonary Medicine.
